An Action San Antonio Thank You to Debi Pfitzenmaier

momonmarsNearly two years ago, Debi Pfitzenmaier and Fran Stephenson came up with a bold idea: they wanted to provide social media and technology guidance, for free or for very little cost, to San Antonio nonprofits with limited staff and resources. Together, they laid the foundation for Action San Antonio and ActionCamp.

Due to personal and professional commitments, Debi is stepping away from her organizing duties as a founding member of Action San Antonio. Fran, Molly Cox, and I want to thank Debi for her dedication and devotion to helping us make Action San Antonio such a success. With her help, we’ve been able to serve many of San Antonio’s nonprofit organizations by providing top-notch social media education through free quarterly breakfast workshops and a low-cost annual unconference.

We hope Debi will join us, from time to time, as a returning Table Captain to help facilitate discussions and to share her wealth of communications experience.

Quarterly Action San Antonio Breakfasts for 2012 will resume in February (watch for a Save the Dates post later this week). We look forward to seeing you soon!

On behalf of all nonprofits who have participated and benefitted from Debi’s time with Action SA, I want to express a huge THANK YOU!

It is not often enough that nonprofits have access to free top-notch media training.

Thanks for your vision and work Debi and thanks to Fran, Collen and Molly for continuing this great opportunity.
